LETTER FROM THE LYNNWOOD BOARD TO ALL RESIDENTS re.
PARKING CONCERNS
Updated 2/25/25
We hear ongoing concerns from complaints residents and service providers about difficulties finding parking space near the Lynnwood. They often have to
drive around the neighborhood several times looking for a parking space. This is especially
difficult when Hellgate High School and the University are in session.
Here’s is the main reason for the problem: There are 46 Units in this building and only 25
garage spaces. There are also 9 angled parking spaces on the Ronald side of the building
and 3 ADA spaces and 3 additional parallel parking spaces on the Connell side. That
makes 40 spaces. The parking needs of visitors and service providers add to the problem.
Note: The Lynnwood only controls the garage parking spaces. We do not own
or control the street parking spaces.*
The Board is therefore requesting, in the spirit of neighborly cooperation:
1. If you have a parking space in the garage, please park there and NOT in one of
the street parking spaces along the two sides of the building.
2. If more than one vehicle is used by those in your apartment, please park your
least-used vehicle farther away from the building.
3. If you have an ADA parking pass, please use the ADA parking spaces along
Connell Avenue. This frees up the other spaces for residents without ADA passes.
*While we have no legal jurisdiction over the diagonal spaces in front of the building or any
street parking spaces, the City Parking Commission and our City Council Representatives
are aware of our parking problems.
